Abstract

In the ever-evolving healthcare landscape, integrating Lean principles into supply chain management has emerged as a crucial strategy for enhancing efficiency and resource allocation. This paper explores recent advances in Lean Supply Chain Management (LSCM) within the healthcare sector and presents innovative strategies to optimize resource allocation. Synthesizing existing literature and case studies elucidates the principles of Lean thinking and their application to healthcare supply chains. Key topics addressed include waste reduction, process optimization, inventory management, and collaboration among stakeholders. Additionally, the role of technology and data analytics in streamlining supply chain operations is investigated. Furthermore, the paper delves into challenges and potential barriers to implementing LSCM in healthcare settings, along with recommendations for overcoming them.
