Abstract
This paper aims to study joint allocation and operational management of wind based distributed generation and battery energy storage system (BESS) in distribution system considering demand response to optimize network losses. The optimization model is formulated as a mixed integer second order conic programming and solved using MOSEK solver. The planning framework is assessed on 33 bus distribution system under different case studies. The simulation results show that application of demand response reduces the size of BESS and network energy losses.
