Mandibular mesiodens—A rare case report

Abstract

Mesiodens in the maxillary anterior region is one of the common supernumerary teeth. Mandibular mesiodens are very rare and there exists only a few reported cases. Presenting in this report is a case of supplemental mesiodens in the mandibular anterior region with review on etiology, incidence and complications associated with supernumerary teeth. Clinical significance: Reporting a rare case, helps in estimating the prevalence of the condition. The present article contains diagnosis and management protocol formulated for supernumerary tooth.
