Abstract
This paper presents the results of the experimental study on Roofing tiles using Blended clay. In recent times procuring of good earth is one of the main problems faced by the tile Industry, as so called good natural deposits of have been on the verge of extinct. Hence an attempt has been made to manufacture tiles using traditional tile earth blended with easily available admixtures. Detailed report of laboratory investigation carried out on tiles made from traditional tile earth and admixture like waste lateritic soil from Laterite quarry, industrial waste likes iron ore tailings, and pond ash is presented. From this investigation it is concluded that quality-roofing tiles can be manufactured by blended earth, using less quantity of scarcely available good tile earth.
