Abstract
Marital rape is a lesser talked about crime, yet has the most traumatic effect on the female psychos. In Indian society it is almost always hidden behind the silver curtain of marriage. This review article is an attempt to bring out the prejudice and lacunae in the criminal justice system in India with regard to marital rape. It further highlights and suggests certain legal reforms essential to achieve these perspectives.
