Abstract
The chapter briefly traces the growth of media education at the post-secondary level in South Asia. Media education is a broad umbrella term for a large number of programs taught at the university level. It tries to understand how media educators and media students in South Asia adapted to teaching and learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. There was no prior preparation for online teaching and learning, although all the countries were undergoing digitization. The digital inequalities were quite apparent in South Asia. It brought forth the various factors influencing the divide inequalities and ways in which both the teachers and students tried to overcome the challenges. With the efforts of the governments in South Asia, teaching and learning continued in different ways, but a gap still exists, which needs to be addressed for the future.
