Metamaterial Inspired Antenna Using Artificial Neural Network for Sub 6 GHz 5G Applications

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contribution

Abstract

The article investigates a compact, low-profile rectangular patch antenna load with a complimentary ring resonator (CSRR) on the patch and a rectangular complimentary ring resonator on the ground for sub-6GHz 5G applications. The proposed design is able to achieve 365 MHz, 522 MHz, and 697 MHz at 3.1824, 6.3576, and 7.978 GHz respectively. The proposed antenna offers 78, 53, and 49% simulated radiation frequencies at 3.1824, 6.3576, and 7.978 GHz, respectively. A random forest modelling is developed based on Regression and classification predictive modelling to predict return loss for various dimensions of the antenna. The model predicts the data with 99.98% accuracy.
