Abstract

Abstract According to an aspect of the present disclosure, a dental chair comprises a detachable light cure device which utilizes the dental chair’s light source as a source of light to cure photo activated resin based material. According to another aspect of the present disclosure, the light cure device comprises an optical filter, an optical lens, an optical fiber and a casing. The optical filter filters the visible radiations particularly in the blue violet region by utilizing the dental chair’s light as the source and the optical lens focuses the filtered light radiations to the focal point. According to yet another aspect of the present disclosure, the receiving end of the optical fiber is positioned at the focal point of the said optical lens to carry the filtered radiations to the surface of the resin based material. According to yet another aspect of the present disclosure, the optical filter, the optical lens and the optical fiber are assembled and/or positioned in a casing.
