Millimeter Wave Directional Array Antenna for Radar Applications

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contribution

Abstract

In this article a novel millimeter wave microstrip array antenna is proposed. The design depicts a single element array antenna which has a range of 26.5-28.5 GHz having a bandwidth of 2 GHz and resonance frequency around 27.5 GHz. It depicts a good impedance matching, a decent gain and a directional radiation pattern. The material ROGERS 4003C substrate is used to design the antenna. The antenna shows a simulated gain of 4.8 dB at an operating frequency of 27.5 GHz. This high-frequency antenna can meet the demand of radar, satellite, and other navigational wireless devices operating at millimeter wave band.
