Model based controlled hybid energy system

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contribution

    Abstract

The dynamic model based control is proposed to control the process of hybrid solar and thermal energy system. The paper proposes the use of solar energy to maximize the coal fired boiler efficiency, where the feed water to the boiler is pre-heated water fed from a standard solar water heater, If the pre-heated water fed into this boiler is at least of 70-80 degrees centigrade the fuel (coal) consumed by the boiler can be minimized.
