Abstract

Ten sets of ear ossicles were extracted after removing the roof of the middle ear cavity and were observed under hand held lens for any variations or anomalous features. Free hand diagrammatic sketches were made. Each ossicle was then mounted under a dissection microscope and metric values were measured with the help of a square millimeter marked grid as a template and were tabulated for evaluation, comparison and interpretation.
