Abstract
Death or mortality is an undesired but definitive health outcome for many acute and chronic illnesses, as well as for nonnatural causes such as injuries, poisoning, etc. The study of mortality plays an essential role in understanding mortality details and devising preventive strategies. These are thus considered an integral part for planning public health intervention for any disease - communicable and noncommunicable.
