Abstract
The advent of low dimensional materials, referred to as ‘nanomaterial’, brings out revolutionary changes in nanoscience. This emerges as interdisciplinary field of science that usually deals with the development of methods for preparing materials (e.g. a polymer, metal) at the nano scale (~1-100nm). Given their small size, large surface area and ability to interface/interact with the cells/tissues., nanomaterials offer interesting physicochemical and biological properties for biomedical applications. This review on nanomaterials emphasizes on recent research in different aspects of nanomaterials; including the preparation, characterization and various clinical applications along with the promising future scope.
