N2 - Root canal irrigation is an essential part of root canal treatment as it reinforces the cleaning and disinfection of areas of the root canal system that have been insufficiently affected by instruments Though syringe irrigation is commonly used method of irrigation, it is not capable of debriding the intricate root canal anatomy. Negative pressure irrigation provides an adequate flow and volume of irrigant by utilising negative pressure in the apical terminus of the canal. This review article presents an overview of the currently available apical negative pressure irrigation systems for a predictable root canal irrigation.
