Abstract
Globally, mankind witnessed the newly emerging variants of Coronavirus and their impacts, which became traumatic for all. The scientific and medical communities relentlessly worked for solutions to this problem. The probability of mortality due to Coronavirus is much lower, when compared with Nipah virus. Recently, there have been many outbreaks of Nipah in several countries, including India. Fortunately, the healthcare officers were able to contain the spread within each outbreak area. Currently, there is an urgent need to protect vulnerable populations by vaccination because of the uncertainties of repeated outbreaks. Here, an attempt is made to summarize the recent specifics about Nipah virus including its symptoms, prevention methods, epidemiology, proteomic information, structural data, evolutionary data, and treatment strategies.
