Abstract
The pandemics have brought to light some of the financial vulnerabilities in supply chain networks and underlined the urgent need for these systems to introduce sustainability and develop flexible capacity that would allow efficiency and resilience. Different studies have identified digital technology, corporate governance, big data management, and sustainable chain management as major factors that could alleviate the effects of the pandemic on business and enhance its sustainability. In this framework, eco-friendly behaviors and flexible skills enabling production to take place under various unanticipated situations can be valued through analysis. The main contributions are a proposal of a conceptual framework for assessing dynamic capacities and sustainable practices in times of crisis, focusing on financial ratios, and identifying components for sustainability and adaptability in indefinite corporate environments. This model represents a workable tool in practice that practitioners can use during the design and implementation phases of the sustainable supply chain projects. Meanwhile, it allows monitoring of its impact on business sustainability. It also helps provide managers with knowledge of how to strengthen the resistance of the supply chain against future shocks.
