Abstract
Dual active bridge (DAB) is propounded in the paper which is a DC-DC bidirectional power converter, along with a simulation of output power based optimum phase shift controller. While regulating the flow of power, the output power based optimum phase shift controller allows it to have a better response and better voltage stability of DC-link. The power-flow determines the voltage output, and the power flow is influenced by the ratio of primary to secondary bridge phase shift. With the control described here, the power flow is administered by computing the phase shift ratio after computing the reference from the load current and output voltage. A separate section on practical problems associated with practical DAB prototype is also presented in this paper.
