N2 - The WHO selected 2020 to recognize the work of nurses and midwives because it is the bicentenary of the birth of the founder of modern nursing, Florence Nightingale. It has been demonstrated amply now as the nurses are the largest sector of health-care workers in every country, playing a pivotal role in response to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic worldwide. Every day, nurses are working tirelessly by leaving their homes to assist the sick, allay community fears, and address concerns. This article is written by interviewing the staff nurses working in the wards/outpatient departments of a reputed palliative care center in Karnataka State, reviewing the recent nurses' blogs, editorial commentaries, WHO guidelines, CDC guidelines, and recent short communications on COVID-19 pandemic. The authors in this article attempted to address the palliative care challenges and strategies for the management during the COVID-19 pandemic in India.
