Performance Analysis of Drone assisted Cooperative Communication in Hybrid channel Environment

Abstract

Recently unmanned aerial vehicles have gathered attention in various application like defense, commercial, industrial etc. For further improving the performance and coverage of wireless communication system, UAVs can be deployed as relay in wireless communication. In this paper we have proposed Drone Assisted-Cooperative Communication (DA-CC). In DA-CC, UAV/drone is deployed as a relay node. We assume Amplify-and-Forward (AF) relaying scheme at relay (UAV/drone) node. Here we have compared the system performance in different channel conditions. We also developed analytical framework for analysis purpose and derived rate equation for DA-CC in different channel conditions. Our proposed work has application in security and surveillance.
