N2 - Cobalt phthalocyanines are known to be the better electrocatalyst for a wide range of organic, inorganic, and biomolecular analytes. The synthesis of electrocatalysts through phthalocyanine (Pc) functionalization involves a single-step reaction to a multi-step reaction. The functionalization of Pc catalyst with the conducting polymer involves either simple electronic interactions or direct covalent bonding. Here we are reporting covalently connected tetra carboxy cobalt phthalocyanine (TCCoPc) pendent via amide linking to the conducting polyaniline (PANI) backbone. The synthesized electrocatalyst is extensively utilized for the sensing of biologically active H2O2 on the surface of the catalyst modified glassy carbon electrode (GCE). The synthesized molecule was characterized by various spectroscopic techniques and the detailed electrochemical activity of the synthesized molecule for the sensing of H2O2 was investigated using linear sweep voltammetry and chronoamperometry techniques, by fabricating on the GCE. The superlative catalytic activity of the synthesized molecule is might be due to the synergetic effect of pendanted macrocyclic Pc molecule with the redox-active demeanor of central cobalt metal atom and anchoring of the metal-centered Pc through amide linking with the conducting PANI.
