Abstract

Protection of network is the most challenging issue for preventing the harmful types of attacks and poses security issue in WSN along with information security application domains. Some of the architectures and guidelines are proposed to protect Wireless Sensor networks (WSN) against different attacks done by intruders. WSN has large variety of applications that includes mass public, military and so on. The sensors in WSN are deployed in such a way that, its sensing technology has processing power and wireless communication. Use of traffic analysis for detecting anomalies is one of most efficient and effective technique for detecting an intruder and preventing. In many applications of WSN, a critical issue is to protect the network of sensors from adversaries and malicious strong attacks. Here, we discuss, some advanced preventive security mechanisms and intrusion detection systems which play important role in detecting and preventing security attacks in WSN.
