Radiation and chemical reaction effects on MHD convective flow over a porous plate through a porous medium with heat generation

    Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

    Abstract

The present paper analyzes the radiation and chemical reaction effects on a steady laminar forced convection flow of a viscous incompressible electrical conducting fluid over a flat plate embedded in a porous medium in the presence of heat generation. The governing equations are transformed by using similarity transformation and resultant dimensionless equations are solved numerically using the Runge-Kutta method with Shooting technique. The effects of various governing parameters on velocity, temperature, concentration, skin-friction coefficient, Nusselt number and Sherwood number are shown in figures and tables and analyzed in details.
