Abstract
Condensation of 3-substituted-4-amino-1,2,4-triazole-5-thiones 3 with 3-aryl-sydnone-4-carboxaldehyde 5 afforded a series of Schiff's bases 6. These Schiff's bases underwent Mannich reaction regiospecifically with morpholine and formaldehyde to give Mannich bases 7. The new compounds were characterized by spectral and analytical data. Biological screening results showed promising antibacterial and antifungal activities for these compounds.
