Abstract
Ureteropelvic junction obstruction is a common cause of hydronephrosis in children for which pyeloplasty is the most acceptable surgical treatment. Complete visualization of the ureter needs additional investigations before pyeloplasty. The routine performance of bulb ureterogram has not yielded additional findings which would have altered the planned surgical technique. Hence bulb ureterogram is advocated routinely only in failed pyeloplasties.
