Abstract
Syndrome of Inappropriate ADH secretion (SIADH) is a known but rare complication of central nervous system involvement of tuberculosis. This is a case report of seven year old male child who presented with altered sensorium for one day and was admitted in paediatric ICU. Laboratory investigations revealed CSF positive for Mycobacterium tuberculosis as well as serum hypoosmolality, hyponatremia and urine hyperosmolality. This patient was diagnosed with tubercular meningitis complicated by hypersecretion of anti diuretic hormone (ADH). The recognition of the complication is important in the treatment and prognosis of tubercular meningitis.
