Abstract

This paper presents solar photovoltaic system design case study of an academic institution using PVsyst. The performance of the photovoltaic system depends on geographical location, solar irradiance, type of PV module and orientation of the module. This work involves theoretical analysis along with the simulation of the PV system based on different load conditions in a building to achieve maximum power, performance ratio and efficiency. A comparative study of the system is done for one laboratory load of fixed tilt with various azimuth angles to achieve more specific production, and better efficiency of the system. Along with comparison the study also involves the feasibility check of the system by CO2 emission count for solar installation.
