Abstract
Sudden death of an apparently healthy person is a critical issue, which raises medico legal problems. Cardiovascular diseases are the commonest reasons for the sudden demise of a person. Sudden cardiac death often occurs in an active healthy person without a known etiology. However, most victims do have some cardiac or other health problems without its awareness. Here we present a case of death due to myocarditis in an apparently healthy young individual. The circumstances were suspicious and gross autopsy findings were inconclusive. The cause of death was confirmed by histopathology.
