Abstract
A series of ring substituted 4-phenyl-3-buten-2-ones was synthesized and evaluated for anti-inflammatory activity by carrageenan-induced paw edema in rats. Several compounds showed significant activity, among them, the 4-acetyloxy-3-methoxy derivative was the most active and the 4-methoxy derivatives were the least effective. © 1988.
