Abstract
Condensation of 2 with formaldehyde and 2-methyl-3H-quinazolin-4-one 3 yielded Mannich bases 2-methyl-3-[(2-aminomethyl) benzothiazolyl] quinazolin-4-ones 4(a-d). The synthesized compounds were screened for their antitubercular activity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37Rv strain and their structures were confirmed by spectral and elemental analysis data.
