Abstract
Schiff's bases prepared by the condensation of 3-substituted-4-amino-5-mercapto-1,2,4-triazoles with 5-nitrothiophene aldehyde were treated with N-methylpipearzine and formaldehyde to give corresponding Mannich bases. The newly synthesized Mannich bases were characterized by their analytical and spectral data. The new compounds were also screened for their antibacterial and antifungal activity.
