Abstract
Natural products like tea tree oil have been extensively researched for their potential applications in maintaining general and oral health. They have numerous applications in the field of dentistry due to its anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antioxidant and healing properties. In this chapter, a systematic search of the published literature was done with respect to tea tree oil in maintaining oral health. Literature was reviewed with respect to the effectiveness, efficacy, safety and adverse effects.
