N2 - As the use and access of technology is increasing among the college population, researchers began to assess the effect of technology on the health, behaviour and the health status of the student population. Playing mobile games, surfing the net, visiting social networking sites are defined traditionally as sedentary behaviours.The relationship which were of interest to the researchers are use of Mobile/laptop by college students and its impact on Physical well-being of these students. The present study presents results which are of utmost importance to students, parents, colleges, institutes etc. We are living in an era of technological disruptions where technology is paving its way in all walks of life and education is not untouched. Mobile and laptop has not only changed the education system and its delivery mechanism but also student’s behaviour and their health, which is part of this study. It has impacted students and teachers at the same time. The results of the study show that there is significant difference in mobile usage and use of mobile for gaming purpose among under graduate and post graduate students. It was also found that usage of WhatsApp application on mobile has negative impact on the physical well-being of college students of India. Further it was concluded that there is negative relation between self-perception of physical activity and physical well-being of these students. The mobile penetration in last few years which has impacted significantly each branch of society; banking transaction, social media, interaction as well as education.
