Abstract

The study aims to review the research-based article on the renewable energy resources at contemporary distribution system with optimal accommodation i.e., appropriate placement and sizing of distributed generation in distribution power systems. Wind and solar photovoltaic system are opted as the distributed generator for the reduction of energy loss while keeping in watch of all constraints like maintenance of node voltage profiles, power constraints. The literature tracks regarding the same has to be discussed and recap of literature based on various research papers is to be mentioned. The manuscript discussed the three broad categories of research article based on operation and planning of contemporary distribution network. Three case studies i.e., accommodation of PV and wind in Distribution Network, accommodation of PV and wind with the impact of different storage techniques and AI & ML techniques for the prediction of PV, WT and load. Various algorithms have to be noticed in this revision for meeting optimized objectives. To explore the study various benchmark of IEEE like 33, 69 bus test radial distribution system etc. is noticed. To meet all the possible outcomes and objectives the different optimization methods are studied in the research papers and their results and future scopes are encouraging for the planning problems perspectives.
