Abstract

Dunet (methomyl) a newly introduced carbamate pesticide, was analysed for its toxic effects on Drosophila melanogaster. It has been estimated that the LD50 is 0.177μl/100 ml. These studies have also revealed that Dunet is toxic as it had a pronounced effect on rate of development and viability.
