Abstract
Linens are important components of luxury, warmth and comfort. Hotels in India are more keen on the use of linen as a symbol of luxury and an element of differntiation between the level of services offered. Idea of customer delight, and budget constraints encourages the hoteliers to opt for innovate usage of linen. The hotel linen market is underserved by unorganised textile sector, which requires more attention from the organised sector to fulfill the specific needs, standartization and the volume of the business. Market research in the economics of hotel linen is requisite to access the growing demand in hotel linen segment in India. Furthermore, new trends are emerging in hotel industry on the usage of linen which is critical for the textile industry in India.
