Abstract
Twitter is a microblogging site. Barack Obama used Twitter in US presidential election campaign, after which it gained popularity among politicians. Features of Twitter-like hashtags and retweets have helped politicians to personalize their connection with the public. It is used not only during elections but also by journalists as a source for their news and by political activists to further their cause. Lately, using blots, fake news and misinformation are also spread through Twitter.
