Abstract

The main objective of this work is to find the location of an 'ordinary' sensor node which is deployed underwater for monitoring it. An Event-Driven Time Synchronization-Free Distributed Localization Scheme for large scale three dimensional sensor networks is used. This particular localization scheme uses a Recursive Localization Process, in which the nodes which are already positioned called as 'beacon' helps in locating an ordinary node. The simulations are carried out using Aqua-Sim Network Simulator 2.30 (Aqua-Sim NS 2.30).
