Abstract
The medical profession is regarded as a novel profession and doctors are considered as a form of god. Well, this was a situation some time back. But now the situation has changed, and daily we hear about violence against doctors, doctors getting beaten up and the clinics being vandalized. The situation is so bad that in the current generation no one wants to opt for the medical profession. In the land of Mahatma Gandhi, who practiced ahimsa as a tool to fight the Britishers, the act of violence against doctors who are regarded next to God is simply unacceptable (3). So why has the situation turned so grim? Let us have a look at the few important points that promote violence against medical professionals and the methods to tackle the same.
